Bain Medina Bain Shows its Support for San Antonio’s Historical Missions at Los Compadres Gala

Bain Medina Bain Shows its Support for San Antonio’s Historical Missions at Los Compadres Gala Pamela Bain and members of the BMB staff enjoyed Missions, moonlight and mariachis on April 8, 2010 at Los Compadres annual “Make it Your Mission” Gala. Attendees enjoyed a sumptuous Spanish colonial feast, fabulous auction items and toe-tapping entertainment in the beautiful historical setting of the San Jose Mission. In attendance at the two BMB tables were Pamela and Henry Bain, Carl and Leslie Bain, Raymond and Morena Medina, Mack and Fanny Thomas, Prakash and Rajendra Shrestha, Hernan Jaramillo, Suman Shrestha, Lynn Rangel, Sandy Lenz, Gilda Molano, Lara Olivarez, Xochitl Medina, Steve and Lisa Guajardo. Los Compadres provides volunteer support and financial aid for preservation, restoration and development projects at the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and has raised over $3.7 million for Missions projects. Pamela Bain has served on the Board of Los Compadres for almost ten years and is the reigning Vice President. In addition to the fabulous food, silent auction and entertainment, the event featured guided tours of the mission grounds, educational projects and other preservation works in progress. Admin staff from BMB served as volunteers to help check in guests, sell table centerpieces and assist with the silent auction sale. They included Xochitl Medina, Sandy Lenz, Lynn Rangel, Gilda Molano, and Lara Olivarez. Pamela Bain and Sandy Lenz were both winners of artwork up for bid at the silent auction. The event was a huge success with 760 guests and over $214,000 dollars raised to help preserve the historic Missions.
