JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Civil Engineer (Transportation – PE)
Location: San Antonio
Salary: Highly Competitive
Typical Assignment: Roadway, Drainage and Utility Design for Public and Private Sector Projects
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Degree Required: BS Civil Engineering
Professional Registration Required: Texas Professional Engineer
- Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques procedures and criteria.
- Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected.
- Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the professional work in a part of a major project or in or in a total project of moderate scope.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must be proficient in MicroStation or Open Roads and have TxDOT pre-certifications.
- Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets with overall responsibility for the profitability of any project assigned.
- Supervise and monitor client relationship strategies.
- Assist in the development of probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department.
- Attend client meetings (day or evening).
- Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
- Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
- Perform design of portions of non-routine projects or entire routine projects under the direction of the project engineer.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and permits for projects.
- Instruct draftspersons/technicians to reduce design to final drawings.
- Proficiency in the use of Microstation, Geopak, and other Specific programs (for TxDOT, City of San Antonio, TCEQ, etc.) and uses manuals, specifications, etc. for these entities a plus.

Job Title: License State Land Surveyor (LSLS)
Location: San Antonio
Salary: Highly Competitive
Typical Assignment: Responsible for assisting in the coordination of office duties, supervising and managing field and office technicians, reducing field data, preparing scopes of work, proposals, quality assurance and quality control.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates or Bachelors Degree
- Professional License in Texas, or an ability to obtain a Texas Registration (active RPLS licensure in place and must obtain Texas Registration within one year of employment).
- Five to ten years of relevant experience in public infrastructure (TxDOT/other DOT’s, counties, municipalities) as well as land development.
- GEOPAK Survey, Leica Infinity, Trimble Business Center, Trimble, Imaging and Robotic instrumentation. Knowledge of AutoCAD Civi13D is a plus.
- Knowledge of boundary, design topographic survey, tree surveys, DOT and construction surveys
- TxDOT or other DOT Pre-certifications, Mobile LiDAR, HDS and ALTA survey experience are all a plus.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a land surveying AutoCAD technician.
• Must have knowledge of importing and analyzing field data, and creating staking sheets.
• Must have experience conducting deed research to create survey base drawings and working with topographic surfaces.
• Surveying experience a plus.
