MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Field Crews
• Experience in construction staking, topographic/tree surveys, control surveys, etc.
• Knowledge and ability to use Leica Scan Station preferred but not required

Note:  Crew Field Team Members need not have experience.  On-the-job training will be provided.

Typical Assignment: Roadway, Drainage and Utility Design for Public and Private Sector Projects

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degree Required: BS Civil Engineering

Professional Registration Required:  Texas Professional Engineer

• Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques procedures and criteria.
• Independently performs most assignments with instructions as to the general results expected.
• Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the professional work in a part of a major project or in or in a total project of moderate scope.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Assist in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets with overall responsibility for the profitability of any project assigned.
• Supervise and monitor client relationship strategies.
• Assist in the development of probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department.
• Attend client meetings (day or evening).
• Assist in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
• Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
• Perform design of portions of non-routine projects or entire routine projects under the direction of the project engineer.
• Assist in the preparation of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and permits for projects.
• Instruct draftspersons/technicians to reduce design to final drawings.
• Proficiency in the use of Microstation, Geopak, and other Specific programs (for TxDOT, City of San Antonio, TCEQ, etc.) and uses manuals, specifications, etc. for these entities a plus.

Job Title: Civil Engineer (EIT)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Degree Required: BS Civil Engineering

• Two Years’ Experience in Design of Civil Engineering Projects
• EIT who is working on obtaining a PE license
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MircoStation and similar engineering softwares

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Civil design experience in roadway, grading, drainage, utility and site development projects.
• Prepare construction plans, design calculations, specifications, bid documents and cost estimates.
• Knowledge of local and state design standards and procedures
• Strong professional work ethic
• Capable of working independently or within a design team
• Excellent communication skills with project team, government agencies and clients
• Positive attitude and strong leadership skills
• Ability to efficiently utilize time in completing tasks accurately, on schedule and within budget

• Draft plans associated with land development design in AutoCAD
• Preparation of due diligence and site research
• Preparation and processing of engineering reports and plan documents
• Coordination with regulatory agencies for approval at different stages of project delivery

• Research and interpretation of applicable codes, specification and standards

Typical Assignment:  Responsible for assisting in the coordination of office duties, supervising and managing field and office technicians, reducing field data, preparing scopes of work, proposals, quality assurance and quality control.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates or Bachelors Degree 
• Professional License in Texas, or an ability to obtain a Texas Registration (active RPLS licensure in place and must obtain Texas Registration within one year of employment).
• Five to ten years of relevant experience in public infrastructure (TxDOT/other DOT’s, counties, municipalities) as well as land development.
• GEOPAK Survey, Leica Infinity, Trimble Business Center, Trimble, Imaging and Robotic instrumentation. Knowledge of AutoCAD Civi13D is a plus.
• Knowledge of boundary, design topographic survey, tree surveys, DOT and construction surveys
• TxDOT or other DOT Pre-certifications, Mobile LiDAR, HDS and ALTA survey experience are all a plus.
